Blockbuster Trade!

The first big trade of 2010 has occurred! Late before Week 4, Most Murderous answered the call of Crittenden Division rival Fireseed, who was looking for a trading partner for one of their QBs. In anticipation of Ben Roethlisberger's return from suspension, Fireseed was forced to deal one of the 3 QBs on their roster, which included Peyon Manning, Roethlisberger, and Michael Vick. Vick was the one chosen to pack his bags, and he was sent to defending AldenLeague Champion Most Murderous in exchange for San Francisco RB Frank Gore.
This is a big, big trade. After being active for only 2 full games (and part of the Week 1 contest) after 3 weeks, Vick was the #2 QB in AldenLeague in terms of fantasy points and in terms of QB rating. Meanwhile, Gore was a first-round pick and consensus top-5 fantasy RB this season. His production had him as the #3 overall RB in AldenLeague at the time of the trade.
The move makes sense for both teams. Most Murderous, a team who has a long history of ignoring the RB position, needed a replacement for underperforming Mark Sanchez. Meanwhile, Fireseed's RB production was weak due to injuries and inconsistency from rookie RB Ryan Mathews and a disappointing thusfar campaign from RB DeAngelo Williams.
However, the final verdict of the trade's winner will be harder to judge, as Vick suffered a chest injury in his first game as a member of Most Murderous, knocking him out of that game and he is also projected to miss 1-2 weeks in the future. Based on numbers alone, that swings the trade immediately to Fireseed by way of unknowable circumstance. This is not the first time a Fireseed trade has gone in this direction. In 2004 and '05, the team traded with The Widgets and C-Men respectively, each time sending players which were injured for the season in the game immediately following the trade.
For now, the tentative winner goes to the 4-0 Fireseed, but Vick will return soon, and there's still a lot of football to be played.
