Week 3

The 2010 season is underway, and already things are interesting. Two teams are undefeated, two teams have yet to win, and already "the pack" is 8 teams deep at 1-1. Only 28 points separates first place from eighth. Already only 3 teams are left in the Eliminator. And new member Stiegler has expressed the excitement he was claimed to have had for the league by still not having bothered to make a helmet. So let's take a look at what the upcoming week holds in store for us.

Matchup of the Week: The Skyns (2-0) vs. So Gay I Make Synrod Uncomfortable (1-1)
One of those two undefeated teams left, the Skyns puts his early #1 AldenLeague ranking on the line in this year's edition of the Ithaca College Bowl against So Gay I Make Synrod Uncomfortable, who at 1-1 is 2nd in total points and only 2 points back of the league lead. This matchup is all about the quarterbacks. Andy's So Gay I Make Synrod Uncomfortable team is led by upstart QB Jay Cutler, who is surprising many by outscoring teammate and highly-touted first round pick Aarod Rodgers, who is still not having any slouch of a season by any means. All eyes should be on The Skyns' combo of Tony Romo and Miles Austin. While not putting up bad numbers so far, the entire Dallas offense is far from living up to their potential so far this year. They'll have an opportunity to get back on track against Houston this week, whose secondary has allowed huge passing games in back-to-back weeks against Indianapolis and Washington. Meanwhile, So Gay's QB combo of Rodgers and Culter actually face off head to head on Monday night in what'll be a make-or-break comeback effort for the Skyns after Sunday's games. Semi-Finals

In 2001, the second year of AldenLeague history, Adam Wojnowski entered the league as BaltoWojo, and won Fantasy Bowl II in his first season. In 2002, Corey Maras's C-Men were added to AldenLeague as an expansion team, and won Fantasy Bowl III. In 2004, Ben Metz joined AldenLeague as the Widgets, and made a run to Fantasy Bowl V, finishing as the runner-up. Moral of the story? Beginner's luck exists in AldenLeague!
