Week 7 - Divisional Week #3
Week 6 Recap
The Week 6 Matchup of the Week became the Week 6 Beatdown of the Week, as the high-scoring C-Men took their second win of the season in a 169.41-93.31 point victory over Karate Xplosion. Elsewhere, #1 rankted L.A. Ninjas may slide out of the top spot of the Preliminary AP Rankings with a loss to Los Petates Mexicanos; the Ice Cold Bruschi's are still looking for their first AldenLeague win as they fell to #2 CheektoWojo; after quick start the #8 BountyHunters have dropped 2 of their last 3 as they fell to Fireseed; and despite being only the 7th highest scoring team, the #5 Boys of Summer now have a 5-1 record with a narrow victory over #7 Andy's Red Hots. How does that affect the polls?

Transaction Watch
To save or not to save? That is the question. At the half-way point in the season, some times are already at or near the 5 ACQ maximum. #3 Boys of Summer used their final ACQ to pick up Tampa Bay RB Warrick Dunn, while #7 Los Petates Mexicanos used ACQs 4 and 5 on the New York Jets defense, and QB Jeff Garcia. Karate Xplosion is treading close to the wire after adding TE Bo Scaife, and #2 L.A. Ninjas used their own 4th to pick up the player Karate Xplosion dropped for Scaife - QB Joe Flacco. #6 C-Men pick up the Quicksilver Award for swiftly adding QB Brad Johnson after Tony Romo went down.
The Eliminator
Congratulations to Andy Morrish for winning Game 2 of the Eliminator on the Message Board. That's right - we've already finished 2 entire games and it's only been 6 weeks. New game starts this week - projected to end sometime next week.
Matchup of the Week
#7 Los Petates Mexicanos (3-3) vs. #8 BountyHunters (3-3)
The ultra-competitive Sandridge Division features the #1 CheektoWojo leading three other teams by a single game, meaning every game is a big one. After having taken out then-#1 L.A. Ninjas, Los Petates Mexicanos climbed into the Power Rankings at #7 this week. At the time of this writing, the team's indications are that they will keep QB Ryan Fitzpatrick on the bench and go with a 3-RB approach, featuring time-splitters LenDale White and Earnest Graham with Frank Gore to complement QB Peyton Manning, who just this week revealed that he had a second, secret surgery earlier this season. Andre Johnson, Marvin Harrison and Braylon Edwards are a big-name WR trio playing against some relatively soft defenses this week. #8 BountyHunters kicked off their year with two wins, but since then have dropped 2 of 3, and last week stumbled to a low-scoring loss to Fireseed. Struggles with WR Chad Johnson haven't helped the cause, but the team is still generating solid points behind the efforts of QBs Brett Favre and Jason Campbell, who this week play Oakland and Cleveland, respectively. The BountyHunters also field WR Reggie Wayne, who they hope will help negate a big effort by Mexicanos QB Peyton Manning. This is the first-ever matchup between these Class of '92 graduates.
Other Games of Interest
#4 Syn City takes on #3 Boys of Summer in an effort to put an end to the unlikely 5-1 record by Justin Hartman. This old Central Division matchup always brings out the trash talking. Where is it this week, boys? In the Crittenden Division, leaders #5 The Skyns take on struggling Fireseed in an old Mountain Division matchup, as team Fireseed must now get past an injury to 1st-round draft pick Joseph Addai in their effort to crawl back into playoff contention. When the #6 C-Men take on #2 L.A. Ninjas, these teams face tough competition, as their points total after 6 weeks only has a 4-point difference.
