Playoff Scenarios: Week 13



With one week left until the playoffs, here's a look at what's at stake in Week 13.  Remember that when teams are tied at the top of the division, the first tiebreaker to determine division champion is divisional record.  For all other teams, the first tiebreaker is points scored.

1.  Most Murderous (9-3, 7-2, vs. Boys of Fall)
-Has already clinched a playoff berth
-Can clinch the Rhinos Division title and 1st round bye with one of the following:
A.  a win, or
B. an L.A. Ninjas loss vs. C-Men

2. CheektoWojo (9-3, 7-2, vs. Andy’s Red Hots)
-Has already clinched a playoff berth
-Because they have a 1-game divisional record advantage over The Skyns, they can clinch the Cobras Division title and a 1st round bye with one of the following:
A. a win, or
B. The Skyns loses to Fireseed

3. The Skyns (9-3, 6-3, vs. Fireseed)
-Has already clinched a playoff berth
-Can clinch the Cobras Division and a first-round bye with BOTH of the following:
A. a win, AND
B. CheektoWojo loss to Andy’s Red Hots

4. L.A. Ninjas ( 8-4, 7-2, vs. C-Men)
-Has already clinched a playoff berth
-Can clinch the Rhinos Division title and 1st round bye with a win AND a Most Murderous loss to the Boys of Fall (teams would then be tied, with L.A. Ninjas having the better divisional record).

5. Andy’s Red Hots (7-5, 5-4, vs. CheektoWojo)
-Has already clinched a playoff berth
-Eliminated from Cobras Division title contention

6. The Risen (6-6, 5-4, vs. Ice Cold Bruschis)
-Can clinch a playoff berth with a win.  Trails Ice Cold Bruschis in points scored, so a loss will eliminate The Risen from the playoffs. 
-Eliminated from Cobras Division title contention

7.  Ice Cold Bruschis (5-7, 3-6, vs. The Risen)
-Can clinch a playoff berth with a win vs. The Risen, PLUS ONE of the following:
A. Boys of Fall lose to Most Murderous, or
B. Boys of Fall win, but I.C.B. stays ahead of them in points (they currently lead by 53.58)
-Eliminated from Cobras Division title contention

8.  Boys of Fall (5-7, 3-6, vs. Most Murderous)
-Can clinch a playoff berth with a win vs. Most Murderous, PLUS ALL of the following:
A. Ice Cold Bruschis win vs. The Risen
B. Boys of Fall overtake both I.C.B. and The Risen in points (currently trailing by 53.58 and 29.54 points, respectively)
-Eliminated from Rhinos Division title contention

9.  Syn City (4-8, 4-5, vs. Stigs)
-Eliminated from playoff and Rhinos Division title contention
-Can clinch a 1st round bye in the Consolation bracket with a win PLUS ALL of the following:
A. The Risen win vs. Ice Cold Bruschis
B. Boys of Fall lose vs. Most Murderous
C. C-Men lose to L.A. Ninjas OR remain behind Syn City in points (currently trail by 53.37)
D. Syn City finishes above these teams in points scored: ICB (Syn City currently trails by 32.8), Boys of Fall (Syn City leads by 20.78).


10. C-Men (4-8, 4-5, vs. L.A. Ninjas)
-Eliminated from playoff and Rhinos Division title contention
-Can clinch a 1st round bye in the Consolation Bracket with a win PLUS ALL of the following:
A. The Risen win vs. Ice Cold Bruschis
B. Boys of Fall lose vs. Most Murderous
C. Syn City lose vs. Stigs OR C-Men passes Syn City in points (Syn City currently leads by 53.37)
D. C-Men finish ahead of all these teams in points: ICB (C-Men currently trail by 86.17), Boys of Fall (trail by 32.59).

11. Fireseed (3-9, 1-8, vs. The Skyns)
-Eliminated from playoff and Cobras Division title contention
-Eliminated from 1st round bye contention in Consolation Bracket

12. Stigs (3-9, 2-7, vs. Syn City)
-Eliminated from playoff and Rhinos Division title contention
-Eliminated from 1st round bye contention in Consolation Bracket

Semi-Finals

In 2001, the second year of AldenLeague history, Adam Wojnowski entered the league as BaltoWojo, and won Fantasy Bowl II in his first season. In 2002, Corey Maras's C-Men were added to AldenLeague as an expansion team, and won Fantasy Bowl III. In 2004, Ben Metz joined AldenLeague as the Widgets, and made a run to Fantasy Bowl V, finishing as the runner-up. Moral of the story? Beginner's luck exists in AldenLeague!
