Week 8 Recap On the back of a 41.86-pt effort by RB Brian Westbrook, Karate Xplosion took down CheektoWojo in the Week 8 Game of the Week. CheektoWojo has quietly lost two in a row and 4 or the last 5, after a dominant start to the early season. With high-scoring Anquan Bolding on the bench, Fireseed lost a tight, 3-point matchup to the L.A. Ninjas. Elsewhere, the rest of the Sandridge division successfully made up ground, as the BountyHunters, Andy's Red Hots and Los Petates Mexicanos all won their matchups. Week 8 - The Pack is Growing

The Prophet Wants His Bragging Rights A quotation from Fireseed's 2008 Draft Analysis, as posted on the Message Board dated 9/1: "[a very even Draft for all teams] makes this a more difficult year than usual to evaluate - at this point, teams are more even than they've been before the start of previous season, and you'll see that I'm predicting some major clusterfucks with the standings, which means an injury or breakout performance here or there could throw the whole thing off." As it stands, 10 of 12 AldenLeague teams are at 4-3 or 3-4 records. Week 7 Recap Week 7 was a dandy, with 4 different matchups coming down to the New England/Denver game on Monday Night Football, including a last-minute trade to try to pick up some last-minute points. First off, congrats to Dan Leonard, whose Ice Cold Bruschi's posted their first-ever AldenLeague victory with a ten point win over division-rival Karate Xplosion. In the featured Game of the Week, Los Petates Mexi...

Week 7 - Divisional Week #3

Week 6 Recap The Week 6 Matchup of the Week became the Week 6 Beatdown of the Week, as the high-scoring C-Men took their second win of the season in a 169.41-93.31 point victory over Karate Xplosion. Elsewhere, #1 rankted L.A. Ninjas may slide out of the top spot of the Preliminary AP Rankings with a loss to Los Petates Mexicanos; the Ice Cold Bruschi's are still looking for their first AldenLeague win as they fell to #2 CheektoWojo; after quick start the #8 BountyHunters have dropped 2 of their last 3 as they fell to Fireseed; and despite being only the 7th highest scoring team, the #5 Boys of Summer now have a 5-1 record with a narrow victory over #7 Andy's Red Hots. Week 6 Preview and Power Rankings!

The bigger they are... After starting the season with a commanding 3-0 record and the league's highest point total, CheektoWojo has scored 170 and 172 points in each of the following two weeks...and lost both times. The latest loss to Syn City puts them in a six-way tie of teams looking up at the Hartman brothers, despite maintaining a 17-point lead over the L.A. Ninjas in the points race. Will the (bad) luck of the scheduling draw cost CheektoWojo in the newest Power Rankings? Look below for details. In other news, the Week 5 Matchup of the Week fell far short of expectations, as the Boys of Summer topped The Skyns 120-89. A poor showing by these two squads. The First AP Power Rankings Compiled from a voting committee comprised of one team per division, here are is the first-ever AldenLeague Power Rankings! 1. L.A. Ninjas 2. CheektoWojo 3. Syn City 4. Week 5 Preview

Week 4 saw the elder Hartman victorious against the younger, and the BountyHunters extended their winning record against defending champion CheektoWojo, two wins which put an end to the last two perfect records in AldenLeague. The C-Men finally put one in the win column with a victory over Syn City, and still sits just 12 points away from CheektoWojo in the overall points race. Transaction Watch This week Andy's Red Hots dealt with QB Eli Manning to help deal with the Opening Day loss to #2 overall Draft selection Tom Brady. Morrish also received WR/KR Dante Hall in the deal. In exchange, the Red Hots shipped off stud WR Terrell Owens and rookie RB Ray Rice to Nevada to help the ranks of Syn City. Other transactions included fillers for bye weeks, as Fireseed and the BountyHunters parted with injured players in exchange for WRs. Matchup of the Week The Skyns (3-1) take on the Boys of Summer (3-1) in a battle of teams among the league's best record. Having lost the 2008 version ...
